春节

The Spring Festival, also known as Chinese New Year, is the most important traditional festival in China. It usually falls between January 21st and February 20th according to the lunar calendar. The festival is celebrated in many parts of China and is a time for people to get together with family and friends. During the Spring Festival, Chinese people like having meals with their families, playing fireworks in the open air, and exchanging lucky money.

中秋节

Mid-autumn Day is one of my favorite traditional festivals. It is celebrated on the fifteenth day of the eighth lunar month. The moon that night is usually the brightest in the whole lunar month. What I love most about Mid-autumn Day is the time I enjoy the full moon with my family and friends, sharing mooncakes and fruit.

端午节

The Dragon Boat Festival, also known as Duanwu Festival, falls on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month. It is a traditional Chinese festival that commemorates the famous poet Qu Yuan. People usually eat zongzi and race dragon boats.

腊八节

The Laba Festival is a traditional Chinese holiday celebrated on the eighth day of the twelfth lunar month. "La" is the name given to the 12th lunar month, and 8 is the number of days in the festival. During the Laba Festival, people often prepare Laba porridge, which is a mixture of rice, beans, nuts, and vegetables, to symbolize prosperity and good health.

元宵节

The Lantern Festival, also known as Yuanxiao Festival, falls on the fifteenth day of the first lunar month. It is a time for people to admire the full moon and light lanterns. Children often carry lanterns and play games.
